PURPOSE

Have you ever ruminated about your being alive? Have you asked yourself about the universal questions? Who am I? Why am I here? What can I do? Where do I fit? Why am I different? What is my potential? Where am I going? Why am I on this planet? These are the universal questions but are personal, these questions haunt everything human being. Each of us must find the answer to these questions of purpose, if we are going to enjoy a meaningful & effective fulfilling life. The greatest tragedy in life is not death but  life Without purpose. It is dangerous to be alive and not know why you were given life. Chadwick Boseman also known as Black Panther said " When I dare to challenge the system that would relegate us to victories and stereotypes with no clear historical backgrounds, no hopes of talents. When I question that method of portrayal, a different path opened up for me, the path to my destiny, when God has something for you, it doesn't matter who stands against it....... You would rather find PURPOSE than a JOB or CAREER, PURPOSE crosses discipline, PURPOSE is an essential element of you, it is the reason you are on the planet at this particular time in history, your very existence is wrapped up in things you are here to fulfill, whatever you choose for a career path, remember that struggles are long the way are only meant to shape you for you purpose". Purpose crosses every facet of life, without purpose, time is meaningless, without purpose, energy is nothing and without purpose, life has no heart. Let it rings in your heart that your fulfillment in life is dependent on your becoming and doing what you are born to be an do, anything less makes life your foe and death your friend, because when you are unable to fulfill your purpose, suicidal thoughts will race through your heart.

WHAT IS PURPOSE?

Purpose, therefore, is the main intent in the mind of creator that motivated him to create a particular item. Purpose is the WHY that explains the REASONS for existence. All things were made base on purpose and they will end base on purpose. Being a rich person is not a purpose of being alive, a rich person can be an empty shell, your purpose is much more important than those riches. Being an educated person doesn't serve as a purpose, there are educated fools misleading innocent people out there, they are boasting with their certificates yet they are as empty as shell. Many people takes goal as purpose, your goal might be to be a rich person or educated person yet your purpose is to save many individuals with gospel motivating words, your goal will surely change but your purpose never change, we might change but the purpose will be revealed to us, so we'll know how empty we are, despite our riches and level of education. Purpose comes with a lot of struggles in which it is just to test our ability and those struggle are considered as what hinder our purpose.

FACTORS THAT HINDER PURPOSE

1. INDIVIDUAL

Who am I? What is my purpose on this planet? Many individuals failed to ask such questions even when they are praying, one of the factors that makes an individual to failed is LACK OF THINKING ABILITY, The famous television producer/writer Norman Lear, when commenting on the disillusionment in America said, “The societal disease of our time is short-term thinking.” In essence, we have lost our long-term vision and our sense of destiny. We hardly have time to burden our heart and brain with questions of our existence, we have forgotten the creator gave us thinking ability, so, for us to know our purpose individually, we have to search for our  thinking cap and find answers to the universal questions.

2. PARENTS

An adapted story from "In pursuit of purpose" by Myles Munroe explains parental factor over one's purpose.

A story a young man called Clyde Wilson juniors whose parents wish for him is to become doctor, he served their wish, he went to the university and study hard to fulfill his parents' wish, he came out with the best result but he told  them tearfully that  “In spite of all the cars, homes and other material things I now have, my life is empty. I never wanted to be a doctor like you did, Dad. In truth, I hate being a doctor. I always wanted to be a musician, but you and Mom would not allow me to follow that dream. Please understand. I love and respect you deeply. I know all you have sacrificed to provide me with my education, and I thank you for it. But tonight I realized that I cannot continue living to fulfill your dreams and expectations. I must start fulfilling my own. When I accepted that award tonight, I felt like a hypocrite. Someone I don’t even know earned that award because I don’t know myself. I want to live. I want to come alive. I want to be what I was born to be. Please set me free and let me live.”

Many Clyde Wilson juniors  are out there trying to battle out of their parents dreams for them, while some of them have forgotten they have their own dream though, parents are guidance of our destiny but not one to choose our destiny, so it high time we stopped living in parents' dream and tell them your purpose before it gets too late.

3. ENVIRONMENT/ CIRCUMSTANCE

The society we are now these days lacks thinking and believing heart, we hardly people to motivate a little child drawing on the sand or help someone that built a car, all they are after is to go to school, have good grade and forget about the rest, they don't care whether you cheated or you skimmed what you wrote down. And certain individuals will tell you to go learn a trade for you to have money. These are certain people that surround us, they don't motivate us to purse our goal but all they are after is to shape our lives to their dream and dream of the society. These has actually failed many and hooked them down because no one believes in their dream. *Every individuals need someone to believe in their dream*

CONCLUSION

(Myles Munroe) A lack of purpose and the impending tragedy that results from its absence is found not only in people but in all things. When elements of nature lose their purpose, chaos and destruction are the results. When nations, societies, communities, organizations, friendships, marriages, clubs, churches, countries or tribes lose their sense of purpose and significance, then confusion, frustration, discouragement, disillusionment and corporate suicide—whether gradual or instant—reign. Purpose is the master of motivation and the mother of commitment It is the source of enthusiasm and the womb of perseverance. Purpose gives birth to hope and instills the passion to act. It is the common denominator that gives every creature an element of distinction. This guiding sense of purpose is more than an orientation toward a goal. Rather, it is a deep awareness that a common vision encompasses all life and existence. Without this vision, we can only exist. We feel no passion for living, neither do we have a reason to wake up in the morning.

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
