Bitter-Honey

Life is so sweet when we tasted the reality

Addicted to sweet alovera and bittersweets

Lies in our heart and soul

The sweetest flavour kills faster.

Here is my story:

Being full of teens age and journey to youthful life

I thought if dining with the daredevil;

There is nothing wrong  it

Just for me to shop for a long fork and a red apron

And feast with devil on a leveled bevel table.

I was in love with the drinks of my adorable devil

And the golden table our meal is set on

The light in the dinning shines like the sun

That can't be dim or shun

I observed the plate was sliver and the meal was placed in the central table.

I was given the sweetest sapidity sourless wine

Devil smiled at me and told me to sip it

I took a taste and my tongue burst into happiness

My soul traced the the drink to my tommy.

He ordered his angels to play music

To make my visitation a lively one

To add to my fun; He gave to me an abomination

Sexy and adoring, Her beauty turns me to sex-starved

I couldn't help but to gaze at her body and I rub my man point.

When the party is getting over, My clock have shifted to huge era

My heart is filled with devil's thought

I go around with the morals given to me by adorable devil

I prophesied how sweet his meal

My life, being full of sweetness and comity

With devil and his angels

I was able to gain many souls to him.

My life couldn't figure the reality of teens life

I gave myself to devil's feast and ruin my soul

I caged many lives in his dinning table

While many have been gifted eternal plague

But here am I gifted with depressive story.

As I read about Mosunmola Esther Ajibade’s recent achievement, lines from the Kwara State Polytechnic anthem echoed in my mind. Our Blessed POLYTECHNIC That Nurtures Talents, Fulfills Dreams, Destinies, Hopes And Aspirations. We Love You For You Are The Haven Of Bright Mind With Great Ideas. Your Products Are Found Everywhere, KWARAPOLY, Your Praises We Sing." These lines perfectly tells the story of Mosunmola. A graduate of the Mass Communication Department, she has excelled across various fields as a voiceover artist, OAP, red carpet host, and writer. Her latest feat as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP), adds another feather to her cap. Mosunmola entered the fellowship as an alternative candidate but emerged as the bes...

Corps Member Tackles Unemployment in Gombe with Fish Farming Training

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
