PROMISE OLAMILEKAN ODEJIDE SPEECH AT NEW AFRICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP LEAGUE FIRST EVER PRONUNCIATION COMPETITION 2022

I profound my calefacient salutations to you in this New African Youth Leadership League first ever “PRONUNCIATION COMPETITION ”, An event targeted to educate and entertain each and everyone of us. Of course, I acknowledged the presence of my indefatigable lecturers, Students Union Government, Institute leaders, the departmental leads, my team, the 21/22 NAYLLITE team leads and noble participants.

The New African Youth Leadership League was born nine years ago by Mr David (The Baker) and his team, the aim of this group is to nurture a credible and worthy African Leader that will illuminate the darkness of this present world to light. This group is full of many voices proclaiming the in-depth truth mankind needed in this age. Many talent has gone far because of the nature of people they related with and this is the rationale behind the development of NAYLL.

The journey of NAYLL is liken to the children of Israel. It started on a bad footing but to God be the glory, the association can definitely look back and beat their chest that they are progressing  The New Africa Youth Leadership League was once called “West African Writers (WAW)” before the Leaders then noticed that the crew is not mainly writers but MULTITALENTED individuals this made the name to changed to NEW AFRICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP LEAGUE (NAYLL).

Being in the campus for long operating the system beneath made the “Association” unknown to body of Kwara State Polytechnic but with the help of the 2019/2020 NAMCOS President who was also the President of NAYLL, Hon. Abdulrafiu Ayoola Kehinde, he registered the Association with the school management and this gave the Association a royal stamp to operate fully in the institution without obstruction.

After the acknowledgement of NAYLL with the school management, the 2021 and 2022 team came together to ruminate on what this association can do in the institution to bring them into limelight, many association have been doing unforgettable experience and things to the institution but NAYLL hasn’t done something worthy of remembrance to the institution. Then came a huge idea which  seems beyond the capacity of the Association, but being a MULTITALENTED individuals, we embraced the idea of departmental anthem for Mass Communication which was written and composed by the 2021 & 2022 set. With the help of our  tenderhearted Father and Patron, Mr Oderinde the anthem was acceptable and pleasing to the department and the school management.

Being a member of NAYLL, you have great achievement and the association has benefits to every individuals because you will have the chance to express yourself in a manner you can ever imagined. NAYLL has a wonderful quote that keeps the Association alive and it’s “if it is making progress then it’s making sense” i.e whatever might be your talent, it has one or two ways of contributing to your personal growth, association growth, institution progress and the nation progress.

To this end, I commend the brains and individuals behind this meritorious event that is aimed at educating, entertaining and informing the institution. To noble participants, your presence is highly respected. I’m very sure that by the end of  this program, you would gained one or two ideas. Incase you haven’t heard about the ongoing anthology series on “THE FALLING ORDER”, You are eligible to participate in it and make the potential in you come to the limelight. I wish the participants best of luck.

THANK YOU!

Promise Olamilekan Odejide
20/21 NAYLLITE PRESIDENT

Kwara State Polytechnic Mass Communication Graduate Emerges Best Fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship

As I read about Mosunmola Esther Ajibade’s recent achievement, lines from the Kwara State Polytechnic anthem echoed in my mind. The anthem is more than a song; it captures the heart of the institution’s mission: "Our Citadel Of Excellence, Great Minds Have Come Out Of Thee. Our Blessed POLYTECHNIC That Nurtures Talents, Fulfills Dreams, Destinies, Hopes And Aspirations. We Love You For You Are The Haven Of Bright Mind With Great Ideas. Your Products Are Found Everywhere, KWARAPOLY, Your Praises We Sing." These lines perfectly tells the story of Mosunmola. A graduate of the Mass Communication Department, she has excelled across various fields as a voiceover artist, OAP, red carpet host, and writer. Her latest feat as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP), adds another feather to her cap. Mosunmola entered the fellowship as an alternative candidate but emerged as the bes...

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
