HUNGER SPEAKS LOUDER THAN OUR DIFFERENCES

The moment I stumbled upon the image that spoke louder than words, I found myself compelled to share the inspiration it whispered to the depths of my soul. It was not just any photograph; it was a mirror reflecting the poignant truths of our existence.

The scene was simple: a dialogue frozen in time, a question posed to a young girl. "Are you Hindu, Christian, or Muslim?" asked by unknown voice, seeking to categorize her essence with a label. But her response was a profound declaration that echoed the cries of millions: "I AM HUNGRY."

In that moment, the labels lost their power. The boundaries we construct—religion, race, status—dissolved into the stark reality of her words. Hunger knows no creed; it does not discriminate. It is the great equalizer that unites us in our most basic human need.

This image, a mere snapshot, became a canvas on which the story of humanity was painted. It reminded me that behind the veils of identity we wear, there lies a common thread that binds us all. It is a thread woven with the thread of hope, need, and the innate desire to be understood and cared for.

Thus, I write not just to tell her story, but to amplify the silent voices that resonate in her answer. I write to challenge the norms that ask us to define ourselves by our differences rather than our similarities. I write in the hope that one day, the questions we ask will not be of what sets us apart, but of what brings us together.

I hope that in this world that's clouded by the complexities of human constructs, we will strive to see the simplicity in our shared humanity. May we learn to look beyond the frame, to the stories untold, to the hearts unveiled. For in the end, we are all but travelers on the same journey, seeking sustenance for our bodies and souls.

FEED A DYING SOUL TODAY ❣️🙏

As I read about Mosunmola Esther Ajibade’s recent achievement, lines from the Kwara State Polytechnic anthem echoed in my mind. Her latest feat as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP), adds another feather to her cap. Corps Member Tackles Unemployment in Gombe with Fish Farming Training

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
