Shuks Broadcast Mastery Celebrates Pioneer Set with Certificates and Networking Event

By Promise Odejide

The Shuks Broadcast Mastery program’s recent get-together for its pioneer graduates in Ilorin was a multifaceted event that served as a celebration, an educational symposium, and a networking hub. The convener, Shukurat Temitope Ibrahim, emphasized that the gathering was an avenue to meet new people, share ideas, network, and have fun.

During the interactive session, attendees were encouraged to ask questions and engage in an educative moment with their facilitators. This provided a unique opportunity for participants to delve deeper into the nitty-gritty of broadcasting and gain insights from the experiences of their mentors. The facilitators present, including Sherifat Oladipo (ArikeOkin) and Jamiu Alapo (Alapo International), shared their knowledge generously, incubating an environment of curiosity and growth.

The event also served as an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and expertise of all the Shuks Broadcast Mastery’s facilitators, such as Bidemi Moses (DaTalkative), Lekan Tajudeen (DaGeneral), and the others mentioned. Their efforts have been instrumental in shaping the skills and careers of the program’s participants.

As the event concluded, the participants were awarded certificates of participation and recommendations, certifying their successful completion of the broadcast training. This recognition amplifies the program’s commitment to advancing professional growth and excellence in the field of broadcasting.

In a significant announcement, Shukurat revealed that the three best participants were given the chance to further their practical experience at Satcom media, a move that highlights the program’s dedication to hands-on learning.

Shukurat extended her sincere appreciation to the sponsors, including the Ali Ahmad Foundation, Hon. Rukayat Shittu, and Mr. Ololade Shittu, for their selfless support. She also expressed profound gratitude to her lecturers from Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin, her team members, friends, and family, whose collaboration and hard work have been pivotal in the program’s journey.

The Shuks Broadcast Mastery program continues to make a significant impact on the field of broadcasting, and this event is just one of the many ways it celebrates and supports its graduates.

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
