HE killed his SON And spared devil

When I was far from the fold,
I wandered in the wilderness of felony
I dined with dogs and fat pigs;
THE SON left the ninety-nine and search for me
He gave his comfort to dangers.

When I was swimming in the mud of sin,
I was covered in grave transgressions
my tog become a rag;
THE SON gave me his white garment
And washed the mud off my dirty cloth.

When the world is full of evil
Men invite devil to the table
Unrighteousness filled the earth
Even the noise of sin disturbs the heavenly bodies;
THE FATHER killed his SON
And spared the devil.

A famous criminal was I
yet THE FATHER ordered for my freedom
And made HIS son a famous criminal;
HE turned HIS face away and my punishment was gifted to THE SON.

I ate the forbidden fruit and my eyes were opened
To evils and goods of the world
the glorious cloth was taken off me
and I locomote in nakedness;
HE made his son naked
And cloth me with righteousness.

He watched his son hanged on the tree
like a illustrious larcenist
Men spit on him like smelling dung
THE SON cried in agony "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"
the climate replied him with the gravity of my dark felony.

The SON was given a crown of thorn
To destroy the man with horn
And this brought to me a golden crown
He was smote by the side
For me to quench my thirsty.

He slept on the tree like a lifeless ant
For me to sleep on his father's bosom
He cried in nakedness, for me to smile in glorious garment
He was counted among the thieves
So I can be counted among the Honourable Chiefs
His death has paid it all
because his father killed him
And spared a sinner like me.

On the third day, the grave couldn't withstand the glory
The death was powerless and lifeless to hold him down
The son has risen from the death
And new life has begin for everyone
The devil is trembling and crying, for he has failed to win
YES! I have gotten a new HOPE in CHRIST
because His FATHER killed HIM, And spared ME.

Happy Easter ✝

As I read about Mosunmola Esther Ajibade’s recent achievement, lines from the Kwara State Polytechnic anthem echoed in my mind. Our Blessed POLYTECHNIC That Nurtures Talents, Fulfills Dreams, Destinies, Hopes And Aspirations. We Love You For You Are The Haven Of Bright Mind With Great Ideas. Your Products Are Found Everywhere, KWARAPOLY, Your Praises We Sing." These lines perfectly tells the story of Mosunmola. A graduate of the Mass Communication Department, she has excelled across various fields as a voiceover artist, OAP, red carpet host, and writer. Her latest feat as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP), adds another feather to her cap. Mosunmola entered the fellowship as an alternative candidate but emerged as the bes...

Corps Member Tackles Unemployment in Gombe with Fish Farming Training

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
