Serpent's Sermon

Back in the garden of Eden,
The home of our alpha parents.
Where no man pay rent,
Livings cares about one another.

Dieu gave man jurisprudence,
To guide and control his demeanour.
HE visited him in the cool of day
To have communion with him.

Days after, Dieu saw loneliness in man's heart
HE gave his eyes a deep sleep
Taking from his body ribs
To create woman from his body.

What have we in the garden?
Man and woman from the same rib,
Sharing same blood with each other.
Caring for each other; what a great love?

Devil is jealous of the divinity love towards the two
Ev'n their love turn him into an ototoxic orator.
he strategied their ruination
he was loved by no living.

Devil bewitched serpent's heart,
Turning her heart to jinx sermonizer,
she spread it the woman in the garden,
When her head is out to take care of the garden.

She tuned to channel of serpent's sermon,
Terminating her heart with ototoxic sermon,
That wasn't delivered on Dieu's mount.
She lost her burnishing glory!

Her head came back, the tune is still on
The sermon was good to hear
And virulent to his dear soul
He care not, he danced with his wife to the tune of doom.

At the cool of the day,
Head of men came to meet them
But they are deaf to hear his voice
Serpent's sermon has poisoned their ear.

The head of men went back
And the sit on his throne
Watching men dancing to tune of doom
Where pathway to grave resides.

As I read about Mosunmola Esther Ajibade’s recent achievement, lines from the Kwara State Polytechnic anthem echoed in my mind. Our Blessed POLYTECHNIC That Nurtures Talents, Fulfills Dreams, Destinies, Hopes And Aspirations. We Love You For You Are The Haven Of Bright Mind With Great Ideas. Your Products Are Found Everywhere, KWARAPOLY, Your Praises We Sing." These lines perfectly tells the story of Mosunmola. A graduate of the Mass Communication Department, she has excelled across various fields as a voiceover artist, OAP, red carpet host, and writer. Her latest feat as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP), adds another feather to her cap. Mosunmola entered the fellowship as an alternative candidate but emerged as the bes...

Corps Member Tackles Unemployment in Gombe with Fish Farming Training

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
