THE PYRAMID OF THE CAPITALIST SYSTEMBy: Ooye Oluwakemi Joy et Promise Olamilekan Odejide

The pyramid of the Capitalist system is a structural caricature that projects the hierarchical diffusion of social, political, and economic class in society. Ranking from lower class to upper class and their distinctive duties in the development of a given society.

This structure comprises six steps, which are prevalent in our immediate society. We have the capital, government/politicians, clergymen, the military/Armed forces,

The canopy of the pyramid habitats the state, which performs the welfare of the government and political elites, and their primary function under capitalism is to serve as the guardians of private wealth and art possessions.

The clergymen are the ones that enslaved the society with the philosophy of religion. This set of individuals is saddled with the responsibility of manipulating their members' decisions in society and exhorting them through false doctrines. They are also responsible for the religious crisis in society by using religion as a tool of fact to discriminate. They also are meant to fool the congregation.

The Armed forces are responsible for carrying out the order of the upper class. these are the executors of the law and order made by the elites. This set of individuals made the job given to the lower class tedious by inflicting suffering on them as it is documented in the Christian scripture that the Egyptian inflicted on the Israelites.

The noble class is the ones saddled with the responsibility of supervising the commoners who toiled and suffer for the political, economic, and social development of the country. The noble class makes sure that all the hard work are earned and reaped by them, they take the larger percentage of the work and paid the commoner with peanut.

However, Some of the most important aspects of a capitalist system are private possessions, secret control of the factors of production, accumulation of wealth, and competition. The pyramid illustrates that the ruling system is far from perfect and leaves space for exploitation and discrimination. Exploitation is central to capitalism, even if the effort is being made to promise this.

A graduate of the Mass Communication Department, she has excelled across various fields as a voiceover artist, OAP, red carpet host, and writer. Her latest feat as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP), adds another feather to her cap. Mosunmola entered the fellowship as an alternative candidate but emerged as the bes...

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
