AN EXPEDITION IN PERSEVERANCE.

One cherished Saturday noon brought my beloved partner together with our dear friends Dayo and Nojeebat to gather around a Ludo board. Little did we fathom that this unassuming tabletop pastime would embark us on an allegorical odyssey unraveling the intricacies tethering us as individuals—offering invaluable insights into resilience and steadfastness along the way. As we delved into this immersive recreation, I found myself transported to a realm where each roll of dice threw open windows to life's unforeseen challenges; akin to how tenacious dedication enlivened our endeavor in bolstering meaningful connections amidst triumphs and pitfalls alike.

Bringing forth vibrant enthusiasm at inception, the onset of our Ludo game seamlessly began with a spirited dancing competition, injecting an air of amiable rivalry into the room with every toss of dice. Transmogrifying into a microcosm reflective of our profound associations, the board navigated through a delicate fulcrum balancing collaborative efforts and individual ambitions. As the game barreled forth, alliances took shape, strategies were meticulously forged, and the stakes ascended with fervor. Anticipating laughter-drenched escapades and binding camaraderie that would culminate in an enriched comprehension of self as well as one another; such was the journey that lay ahead.

During the game, various setbacks and obstacles were thrown our way, serving as reflections of typical challenges encountered in relationships. I faced a critical moment on the verge of defeat, torn between surrendering and summoning the bravery necessary to persist. This pivotal juncture proved puzzling as it demanded resilience from our connections with each other. Nonetheless, it was precisely at this turning point that we collectively opted for teamwork - offering support and inspiration when needed most. Our shared understanding emerged: setbacks do not signify failure; instead, they provide chances to fortify the very core upon which relationships are built.

In the face of intense competition, the game fostered a feeling of togetherness and collective participation. As we watched the dice tumble, triumph felt tantalizingly close, yet our focus on personal development and the depth of our connections outweighed any longing for individual victory. Although I didn't claim first place, the result became less significant compared to recognizing how our bonds strengthened through resilience and shared encouragement. Earning third place served as evidence of our collective ability to overcome personal challenges.|

The game of Ludo provided us with a valuable lesson on the complexities of our connections. It underscored the fact that true triumph is not found in personal achievements alone, but in the shared moments and relationships we forge along our path. This experience demonstrated to us the vital nature of effective communication, cooperation among peers, and persistent dedication to one another. Moreover, it emphasized the importance of celebrating even the smallest victories and deriving happiness from the journey itself rather than fixating solely on reaching the end goal.

Upon reflecting upon that exhilarating game of Ludo we played with our loved ones, we hold dear those metaphorical travels it took us through. It serves as a constant reminder that relationships are akin to games; they require resilience, adaptability, and an unyielding determination. Together, we toss life's dice into motion - maneuvering through success and setbacks alike - all while finding comfort within the indissoluble ties that bind us together.|

As I read about Mosunmola Esther Ajibade’s recent achievement, lines from the Kwara State Polytechnic anthem echoed in my mind. The anthem is more than a song; it captures the heart of the institution’s mission: "Our Citadel Of Excellence, Great Minds Have Come Out Of Thee. Our Blessed POLYTECHNIC That Nurtures Talents, Fulfills Dreams, Destinies, Hopes And Aspirations. We Love You For You Are The Haven Of Bright Mind With Great Ideas. Her latest feat as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP), adds another feather to her cap. Corps Member Tackles Unemployment in Gombe with Fish Farming Training

A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. His program centers on the innovative Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS), a method that recycles water through mechanical and biological filtration to allow for high-density, sustainable fish farming while minimizing the use of land and water. Gombe, like many parts of Nigeria, is grappling with the dual challenges o...
