A bold new project aimed at transforming the lives of 100 young people in Gombe is underway, as Ishaq Abdullahi Shehu, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps member from Kano State, turns his agricultural expertise into a community development program. The initiative focuses on modern fish farming techniques designed to combat youth unemployment and boost local food production. Ishaq, a graduate of agriculture from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil with specializations in forestry, fisheries, and wildlife, is committed to changing the perception of farming. “Agriculture must be seen as a viable business, not just a way of life,” he explains. In a bid to inspire young minds towards active community participation, NYSC Corps Member Shukurat Temitope Ibrahim and her team organized a Community Development Talk at Government Vocational Training School, Bolari East. NYSC Corps Member Sponsors Students’ School Fees Through Debate Competition in Bolari East

In a remarkable effort to support education, NYSC Corps member Shukurat Temitope Ibrahim has sponsored the school fees of outstanding students following a debate competition she organized as part of her Personal Community Development Project in Bolari East. The debate, held for pupils of Kamara Primary School and Government Vocational Training Center, Bolari East, provided a platform for young minds to engage in intellectual discussions on education’s role in societal transformation. At the end of the competition, Sulyman Ahmed (JSS 3) emerged as the Best Speaker in the secondary school category, while Isah Nasiru Shuaibu (Primary 6) won in the primary category. Both students, along with other participants, were awarded certificates, and their school fees were fully covered as a reward for their outstanding performances.
