AYE O LO BI OPA IBON
My father used to say "Omomi Aye o lo bi opa ibon",
The greedy poliTHIEFcians, they want it all.
Holding on to power for too long,
Draining the nation's wealth, making it fall.
Scheming and plotting in their seats of power,
Craving for control, never tiring.
Luring and tricking with empty words,
Leading the nations astray with their swords.
Building their empires of corruption with lies,
Looting the resources with no disguise.
While the people groan, suffering and poor,
Enjoying their riches, their hearts so sour.
No matter the language, the story is the same,
poliTHIEFcians driven by their thirst for fame.
From north to south, sitting on their throne,
Turning a deaf ear to the oppressed, who moan?
Oh, how they desire the treasures of the earth,
Grasping it firmly in their greedy girth.
Sucking the life out of the nation's core,
Leaving behind misery and pain galore.
But we, the people, will stand and resist,
Shattering their bonds, ending their mist.
For justice and freedom, we'll take a stand,
In unity, we'll recover our plundered land.
Aye o lo bi opa ibon,
Revealing their greed, making it known.
With solidarity and courage, breaking their curse,
And saying goodbye to their rule of worse.
Sounding the horn of freedom to the downtrodden,
Rising against those who have misbegotten.
For a better tomorrow, working and hoping,
And dispelling the shadows of their scope.
